Replacing your cabin air filter can be a relatively simple process if you don’t mind a little DIY.

The steps are as follows:

  • Open your glove box and remove contents.
  • Remove the limiting stop arm by sliding it off the pin.
  • Release the glove box by squeezing the front and back toward each other until the side clamps pop free. This will allow you to see the face plate of the air cabin filter channel.
  • Remove the old filter. There will be latches on the sides that you will have to lift before sliding the old filter out.
  • Clean the filter chamber of any dirt and debris using a small vacuum and damp cloth.
  • Install new cabin air filter.
  • Replace glove box.
