Spring Vehicle Changes Made Easy With 5 Key Tasks

Published On: March 16, 2022

Spring is finally on its way! As we start to think about our spring cleaning, we also need to come up with a game plan for our vehicles! Below are our Five Key Tasks we recommend you follow to prepare your vehicle for the warmer driving weather ahead.

1. Oil Change and Vital Fluids

Over the winter, your car has likely done its job of starting and getting you to wherever you needed to go at some extremely cold temperatures. Whether it is your motor oil starting at -40 below, your washer fluid keeping your visibility clear, or your coolant keeping you warm in your vehicle, it’s time to get change those fluids and get ready for another season. Start your transition with an oil change and check all your vehicle’s vital fluids.

At Victory Lube, we offer our Ultimate Spring Oil Change Package. This package is a combination of our best motor oil(Full Synthetic- the best you can buy) with checks and top-ups of all your vital fluids, tires, and batteries. You get the best oil, top-up of all your vital fluids, Transmission, Power Steering, Coolant, and a check of the cooling system, battery, and tires. Plus, drive in between oil changes and get your tires checked or *fluids topped up between oil changes as part of our oil services. Plus, we include a pair of Free Wiper Blades as the winter has probably taken its toll on your current one. This is the Ultimate Package to get your vehicle ready for Spring.

2. Tires

Your tires are the only thing between your vehicle and the road – so make sure they’re in the best shape possible.

Start by swapping out your winter tires for your summer ones ensures you have the best performing tire for the current weather. Although you may be tempted to drive on your winter tires all year round, their deeper treads and softer rubber are more suited for colder weather conditions. Start at Victory Lube, where there is no appointment, and we will make sure they are properly swapped, rotated, and inflated to the proper PSI to keep you safe.

Looking for tires, we can check and let you know when you should be replacing them and provide you with our best price on new tires, balancing, and installation if needed.

3. Lights & Wiper Blades

Lights eventually burn out, lenses become cloudy, or stray stones crack, and the performance and safety of your vehicle are compromised. Your lights keep you safe and let other drivers know your intentions. Having them checked and replaced not just keeps you safe but also can save money in costly fines.

The same goes for wiper blades. When you notice they’re affecting your visibility while driving, you should get them replaced as soon as possible. It’s recommended that they be replaced at least twice a year, many can last a whole year, but the changing seasons can take their toll on the performance.

At Victory Lube, these are part of our standard checks when you come in for service and key items to have fixed or replaced after a long cold winter season.

4. Air & Cabin Filters

When it comes to car maintenance, most people think of changing the oil and rotating the tires. But there are other important aspects of car care that often go overlooked. One such aspect is your car’s air filters.

Just like the filters in your furnace at home, the filters in your car eventually become clogged and need to be changed. If you do not change your vehicle’s filters, it can result in a decline in your car’s performance, increased emissions, your vehicle’s heating and cooling systems, and inside the vehicle prevent it from filtering out dust, pollens, and other allergens.

These filters can last up to 12 months, but it all depends on driving conditions and climates.

At Victory Lube, it is our policy that those filters are removed and shown to all our customers to see conditions and make that determination.

5. Cooling System

Your heating system has done its job all winter, but you don’t want to wait until there’s a hot day to realize that your cooling isn’t working correctly.

Having your coolant fluid level or strength checked is key to great performance. Many fluids these days are extended life fluids, but having them checked and a cooling system flush and fill will keep you cool and your cooling system in the best condition for those warm spring days ahead.

We offer Warranty Approved No Appointment Maintenance Services, and our customers can trust us to help them keep their vehicle running rate and save on maintenance.
